Amphitheater concert bass affecting nearby neighborhoods
Residents near the amphitheater reported concerts rattling windows and disrupting sleep, with decibel readings of 70-73 dB at night versus a 51.9 dB baseline. The mayor said the city is working with Live Nation on sound mitigation and asked residents to keep calling the complaint line.
Cannabis micro-business licensing ordinance
The city must decide whether microbusinesses can grow and manufacture cannabis inside retail-zoned (B-1) spaces. Staff say the amendment would open ALL B-1 areas — including downtown and corridors near homes — to industrial-style uses, conflicting with the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The applicants argue it's their only way to open their store before their state license expires.
