Baymont Hotel license appeal

Attorney for the hotel owner acknowledged the March 28-29 lock-in event failure and presented a proposed conditional license with 24-month oversight, promoter vetting, an escrow for city costs, and a prohibition on promoter events.

Hotel owner described $12 million invested with no annual profit, blamed a promoter who misrepresented security arrangements, said the 16 events previously held were incident-free except the last, and pledged no more full hotel buyouts or promoter events.
